Work Search Roundtables: team-focused to help you find work & stay employable!

08-06-2017

These sessions make them the longest, continuously meeting job clubs and support groups since 2001 in West Michigan–-900+ sessions–-at two locations on different days of the week.  The sessions are open to the public and provide ongoing networking, support, group problem solving, and coaching for individuals during periods of work search and career transition.

Several TV and radio stations as well as The Grand Rapids Press reported on these weekly events during the past decade, including WOOD-TV 8.  Since the fall of 2001 these events have met weekly for two hours at local sites in metro Grand Rapids.

A third weekly event, at Spring Arbor University's Grand Rapids learning site on Tuesdays, merged with the Monday one (see below) in April 2014 to relocate it to downtown Grand Rapids at Westminster Presbyterian Church, giving more people easier access to the event throughout the West Michigan region.  The Wednesday event at St. Robert of Newminster in Ada have been meeting every other week since the fall of 2010.

Those who participate in Roundtables and the NetWork 2 NewWork events can also join the LinkedIn group, NetWork 2 NewWork (NW2NW), by asking the Roundtable or NetWork 2 NewWork organizer.

NetWork 2 NewWork: "Project Manage Your Next Work Search", September 19, in downtown GR

08-05-2017

There are ‘project management’ practices and methods similar to that of a track superstar for establishing a direction, sustaining a career, and finding new work that are better than others.

Join us Tuesday, September 19th (“ArtPrize Eve”) for an evening of interactive learning, providing you opportunity to learn key principles of project management and have them applied to the work search project--a very likely future activity for all of us.

Complete information is available at www.nw2nw.org/events.
