Economic Outlook 2014-2015: What's Ahead and What to Do about It

KEN SOPER presenting - Upjohn Institute economist George Erickcek's December presentation was quite upbeat, different from the last several years. Ken Soper attended the December event and will summarize George's presentation and his conversation with him as well as provide suggestions of what you can be doing to prepare for 2014 and 2015.

Your Personal Brand: Marketing Who You Are and What You Do

Curtis Burdette presenting - Learn how to keep your message consistent in face-to-face discussions, in your resume and cover letter, and on your LinkedIn profile. We will practice sharing methods you use to deliver your message and emphasize key words and phrases that help distinguish you from other professionals. As you learn to be more specific about who you are, what you do, and the “right fit” for you, it will be easier for others to help you find what you need. We will work on the language and the techniques for communicating your message.

Job Search Strategies for 2014

RUTH VAN HOVEN presenting - Strategic action plan….who me? So you want need a job...so does everyone else that is unemployed. What strategies are you using to gain meaningful income? The strategies are endless and ever-changing. Head trash? Job search? Networking? What’s your strategy?

Come prepared to identify and commit to a few strategies and leave with a plan of how to put them into action. Schedule a follow up meeting in the session with one or two others to ensure your strategies are specific and measurable, as well as to encourage and hold each other accountable. We will see you at the following Network 2 NewWork event to hear your results.
